From sunny and temps in the 60s to wintery mixes, March seems to run the gamut when it comes to unpredictable weather. As we slog through these last few weeks of winter, we’re setting our sights on a few ways to cure those March blues at the new-kid-on-the-block Dairy Market. From discovering a favorite new vino to indulging your sweet tooth, read on for our tips to get the most out of the Market this month.

Organize a coffee date. Let’s face it, we’ve consumed a lot of coffee at home this past year. Sometimes it’s nice to switch it up and have someone else make your cup of joe. Enter Brooklyn-based coffee house, Eleva Coffee; the perfect spot to meet a friend for a coffee or tea date. Located in the airy entry hall, with 25-foot ceilings and socially distanced tables, it’s a safe and easy way to enjoy your matcha latte.

Cheer on the Hoos. Get in the team spirit and throw on your Kihei Clark jersey, because March Madness is around the corner. Recently opened Starr Hill Brewery will be playing every UVA basketball game, with the sound on. So grab a beer and brush up on the lyrics of “The Good Old Song.”

Become a wine connoisseur. Looking to expand your wine knowledge or test your palette? Every Friday and Saturday afternoon from 3:00 to 7:00pm, the sommeliers at Springhouse Sundries host wine tastings in their stall. Wine geeks and novices alike are welcome to partake, and hopefully discover a new favorite bottle (or two).

Get your furry friend in on the fun. When the sun comes out in March, enjoy some outdoor dining and drinks with your pup on the Market’s front patio. With plenty of fresh-air seating and dog-friendly vibes, this is sure to be the hang all summer long.

Indulge in a sweet treat. Whether you’ve had a tough day at work or you’re looking for something special to do with the kiddos, Moo Thru is the place to be. Those that travel Route 29 frequently are sure to know the virtues of Moo Thru. Rather than traveling an hour north to partake in their sugary delights, Dairy Market has done Charlottesville the great service of bringing this stellar ice cream to town (and we are very moo-ved).

Hot tip: If you decide to drive to Dairy Market, the first hour of parking in their lot is complimentary. Just looking to grab-and-go? There are also several 15-minute parking spots in front of the building.
