Charlottesville’s Dairy Market aims to make space for kids, adults, new eateries

“You know, change is good,” said Michael Rosen, Director of Hospitality Assets for Tiger Lily Capital, which manages the Dairy Market. “If you go and look at other food hall concepts, you know, you want to keep things on their toes and guests on their toes.”

Rosen says the Dairy Market will welcome three new food vendors in the next couple months, including a first-ever Indian restaurant.

While others, such as South and Central, are closing.

Krissy Cakes and The Dairy Market partnered together to host a Juneteenth Block Party.

There was something for all ages, from vendors, to performances, food, and so much more.

It was free and brought people together to celebrate the meaning behind Juneteenth.

Former UVA student to open yoga studio and activewear shop

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) - The Charlottesville Dairy Market has good news for fitness lovers.

If you’ve walked past the Dairy Market recently, you may have noticed some construction and a big empty room. As soon as late August, you could be looking at a brand-new yoga studio and activewear shop.

Ann Mazur, a former University of Virginia PHD student, has taught yoga in Charlottesville for 15 years, including at UVA. She also owns Relay Active, a women’s activewear and running brand best known for its tie-dye sets and phone pocket sports bras.
