Charlottesville is located in Central Virginia, in the eastern foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The city’s rich cultural, natural, and artistic history is showcased in a selection of first-rate museums, galleries, wineries, shops, and parks dispersed throughout the area. The Dairy Market is located in the heart of downtown Charlottesville, within walking distance to the University of Virginia, The Corner (an area of shops and restaurants adjacent to the University), and the Downtown Mall.
For accommodations near the Dairy Market, we recommend:
- The Graduate Charlottesville – a boutique hotel located on The Corner, near the University of Virginia, is less than a mile from the Dairy Market
- Quirk Charlottesville – a boutique hotel, opened in 2019, located on Main Street in Charlottesville, less than a mile from the Dairy Market
In addition to visiting the Dairy Market, many individuals travel to Charlottesville for the area’s rich historic attractions – such as Monticello, the Grounds of the University of Virginia, James Monroe’s Highland, Historic Court Square and Michie Tavern, ca. 1784.
