December Market Mondays: The Salvation Army of Charlottesville

Dairy Market teamed up with The Salvation Army of Charlottesville for December’s Market Mondays. Market Mondays is Dairy Market’s dine-out-donations program. Each month we partner with a local non-profit and every Monday guests have the opportunity to add $1—or more—to their order with 100% of those proceeds going to our monthly partner. Dairy Market’s Starr Hill Brewery has also teamed up with The Salvation Army as their Cheers for Charity partner for this month where $1 from each pint and 6-pack of The Love beer will be donated.

In 1912, the Charlottesville Corp established The Salvation Army in Charlottesville as a place where someone in need could go get a hot meal or stay for the night. Since then, the Charlottesville Corp has been providing services around the clock, every day of the year, and engaging in “boots-on-the-ground” actions to mentor and encourage these community members. “Doing the Most Good” is achieved through three core operations, Emergency Intervention, Transitional Life & Health Services, and Initiative Support & Development. The Salvation Army Charlottesville Corps also includes a weekly schedule of programs and opportunities for worship for adults and children.

The Dairy Market is also hosting The Salvation Army’s Angel Tree at the market through December 13th. We invite you to adopt an angel and make a child’s holidays bright! The famous Salvation Army red bell will be ringing at the market on December 3, 4, 10, 11, 17, 18, and 24th. Just another way to support this incredible organization so save your loose change or extra dollars. More about Bell Ringing.
