International Women’s Day Celebration
March 8 @ 9:00 am
Join Building Goodness Foundation at Dairy Market’s Old Trinity Church on Wednesday, March 8th at 9:00am for their Fourth Annual International Women’s Day celebration, Building a Gender Equal World!
Our panelists will explore this year’s theme, Embrace Equity, in honor of International Women’s Day and those who work tirelessly to forge positive change. We can all challenge gender stereotypes, call out discrimination, draw attention to bias, and seek out inclusion. Collective activism is what drives change. From grassroots action to wide-scale momentum, we can all embrace equity. Forging gender equity isn’t limited to women solely fighting the good fight. Allies are incredibly important for the social, economic, cultural, and political advancement of women.
We are excited to welcome two incredible speakers (listed below). Learn more about these ladies here.
Niya Bates, a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of History and Department of African American Studies at Princeton University, who has worked in public history preserving rural African American community history in central Virginia for the past five years.
